The Chairperson of the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission (JMEC) H.E. Festus Mogae has on Friday held discussions with the United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) ambassadors to South Sudan in Juba.

H.E. Mogae briefed the envoys of the latest efforts towards the revitalization of the Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict of the Republic of South Sudan (ARCSS).

He said JMEC reiterates cessation of all hostilities and return to ceasefire arrangements in the country even as regional efforts continue to host the High-Level Revitalization Forum (HLRF).

The envoys assured the Commission of their country’s full support in its role of overseeing the implementation of the Agreement.
