JMEC Chairperson visits the United Nations Headquarters for Consultations
The Chairperson of the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission (JMEC) for the Agreement on the Resolution on the Conflict in South Sudan (ARCSS) H.E. Festus G. Mogae is currently in New York undertaking consultations with key stakeholders, on the margins of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
While in New York, the Chairperson is expected to hold meetings with partners in the South Sudanese peace process including the African Union High representative for South Sudan, members of the Troika and United Nations Representatives.
The Chairperson is accompanied by the Deputy Chairperson Ambassador François Fall, who is also the former Prime Minister of Guinea; his special advisor Ambassador Legwalia Joseph Legwalia and other senior officials.
