JMCC holds its 52nd meeting in Juba
The Joint Military Ceasefire Commission (JMCC) has on Wednesday held it 52nd meeting in Juba.
The meeting was chaired by Major General Majier Deng.
The meeting involved update on general crime rates in the city and on the Regional Protection Force (RPF). Other updates were also given by CTSAMM and the Joint Operation Center representatives (JOC)
General Majier said the progress on the Malbour cantonment site is “going on well”
The Joint Military Ceasefire Commission (JMCC) is described in Chapter II, Article 3.3 of the Agreement.
It is staffed by four Deputy Chiefs of General Staff, two from government forces and two from the SPLM/A (In Opposition) Forces.
The Commission is responsible for oversight and co-ordination of forces in cantonment and barracks, and reports to the Commanders in Chief of the respective warring parties.
